The AAUW is a 100,000-member organization with more than 1,300 branches nationwide, that advocates for education and equity.

Founded in 1881, the AAUW is the oldest and largest national organization working for the advancement of women.

"Thank you for the opportunity to serve as the president of the AAUW Valdosta Branch. It is an honor and a privilege. This is a challenging time for us, a time that more than ever we need to engage and commit to our mission; “Advancing equity for women and girls through advocacy, education, and research.

Let’s continue with the hard work and dedication as exemplified by our membership past and present. As a group we have set high standards. The quality and strength of the Sister-to-Sister program and the political forums speak for themselves. We can be proud of receiving the “AAUW of Georgia Ten Star Membership Award”, for two consecutive years.

I encourage you to join me in sharing your passion and vision, and to continue accepting the challenges that we as women face. What better gift can be given than our time and commitment? We can help make the world a better place by starting here at home in Valdosta, Georgia."
